Eclectic Art is a collection of various pieces made by Cynthia “Cindy” Teare. Born in California and now residing in Colorado, I incorporate many different styles and techniques into my creations whether it be an actual eggshell, painted canvas or any other of several art disciplines that I have picked up through the years. Many things I’ve taught myself through, books and videos, some things have been learned in workshops and college classes.
I received a Bachelor of Art in Art from California State University, Northridge in 2010, which adds to the Bachelor of Art Degree in Biology I recieved earlier. I have sinced retired from my “day job” and now I concentrate on what I like to create.
Why Eclectic? If I went to a psychologist they might diagnose me with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. I really don’t think I have that, but I’m the perpetual student. I strive to learn new crafts, new techniques, and I gather inspiration from one form to another.
Why the peacock? The peacock is the national bird of India, and represents beauty and grace. I like to think my creations reflect that.
